Halloween Story writing Competition 2025

Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026

Short story writing competition. Open to all including school, college and university students.

Categories are Fiction & Non-Fiction.

Deadline for submissions: 15th January 2026.

For story submissions /queries/more info kindly send an email to 'stories@emissario-uc.org' OR send it via WhatsApp to: +1-437-772-6881. Send your story as a a Microsoft Word file Or an Adobe PDF file or and RTF file.

The competition is open to all including students in school, college & university as well as youth that are not in school or are in an after school program. This competition is also open to adults including teachers, professors and other individuals who may or may not be associated with education or academia.

Are you all up to the challenge?

We wish to encourage students and others to write and participate in a competitive short story writing competition (ideally according to the requirements of your age or grade at school, college or university. Minimum 500 words OR upto a maximum of 5000 words not incuding the title or word count. You need to mention the word count and your story title seperately from the word count. Your story title/name should ideally be the same as the file name. You cannot use ChatGPT or any other AI or other tool to write the short story, your work needs to be original. Once we receive submissions of stories (essays/compositions) we will assess them and then announce them.

We will announce results according to the following:

Fiction: Winners of 1st, 2nd & 3rd place

Non-Fiction: Winners of 1st, 2nd & 3rd place

We reserve the right to add other categories etc depending on submissions received.
